This is an unprecedented Asian University Blockchain Hackathon organized by DigiFinex and supported by CoinDesk. The objective is to educate and nurture ambitious young talents and prepare them for the exciting opportunities brought about by the crypto world.

Crypto Never Sleeps ’19 brings the world’s top undergraduates together to analyse the potential of Asia’s cryptocurrency markets. The Asia Cryptoasset Research Hackathon aims to give students an exhilarating and fast-paced learning experience.

The event is organized by DigiFinex, a crypto exchange headquartered in Singapore, as part of their education and social outreach efforts. To attract top talent and to give back to the community, DigiFinex is putting up a whole Bitcoin to be won (approx. US$10,000).

Hosted by CoinDesk at Marina Bay Sands on 11 and 12 Sep (Wed and Thu) as part of the Invest: Asia 2019 conference, the event gives students the opportunity to attend investment workshops held by industry experts, and access to the dynamic expo floor.

The competition has drawn interest from international exchange students spending the semester in Singapore as well. For example, apart from local undergraduates from NUS and NTU, students from Scotland, Denmark, Canada, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands and India have also registered.
